Position Overview
Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control is on the lookout for a Senior Electrical Engineer to spearhead the design and implementation of modifications across various military ground and maritime platforms. This role is integral to our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) Program.

The mission is to equip the Special Operations Forces community with top-tier systems and equipment, ensuring their operational success globally.

While the primary focus will be on ground and maritime vehicles, support may extend to other aircraft platforms as required by the contract.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with chief engineers, project engineers, and design teams to ensure that systems fulfill customer requirements and function as intended.
  • Analyzing customer specifications to determine electrical scope and contribute to the overall engineering solution, Basis of Estimate (BOE), and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Leading the electrical design team during design reviews, overseeing the development of designs, and generating necessary reports.
  • Creating schematics, managing cable routing and terminations, and overseeing the installation of new systems, including radios, antennas, transmitters, and power equipment.
  • Evaluating and approving engineering releases and modifications.
  • Exhibiting a forward-thinking approach, flexibility, motivation, and a strong attention to detail while being team-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent ABET-accredited program.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, E3 Zuken, Dassault Cameo, Solidworks, and CATIA v5.
  • Familiarity with RF Systems and printed circuit board design.
  • Understanding of protocols used with chips/EEPROMS, including start/stop/parity bits and baud rates.
  • Experience with unmanned systems and vehicle electric/electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of autonomous systems and maritime environments.
  • Experience with qualification testing, EMI/EMC MIL-STD testing, and the DOD Acquisition process.
  • Previous experience with military vehicles/platforms.
