Position Overview

A prestigious global law firm is seeking a skilled associate to join their Technology Transactions Group.

The ideal candidate will possess 4-6 years of experience in transactional and licensing law, particularly in representing companies within the life sciences sector. A keen interest in the evolving landscape of life sciences, which encompasses biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, digital health, medical devices, diagnostics, and discovery tools, is essential. Candidates with a background in biological sciences, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy, or business, as well as relevant in-house legal experience, will be viewed favorably.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong academic credentials and exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in various legal agreements, including:
    • Complex partnering and licensing arrangements
    • Agreements with academic or research institutions
    • Research and development agreements
    • Manufacturing, supply, and distribution agreements
    • Clinical trial arrangements
    • Material transfer and non-disclosure agreements
    • Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-outs, and joint venture transactions in the life sciences field

Successful candidates will demonstrate comfort with significant client interaction, providing counsel on day-to-day legal matters, and a desire to advance into a role that leads the structuring and negotiation of intricate strategic transactions for clients.
