Job Summary
Piedmont Aviation Component Services, a subsidiary of TAT Technologies, is seeking a skilled Aircraft Landing Gear Technician to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the disassembly, cleaning, and repair of aircraft landing gear components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, clean, and inspect aircraft landing gear components
- Repair and assemble components according to technical specifications
- Test and verify the functionality of repaired components
- Maintain equipment and tools related to the job
- Read and comply with work instructions and technical documentation
- Write accurate and technical reports as needed
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals
- Accurately complete work orders and data inputs within our ERP system
- Read and understand commercial, FAA, EASA, and ISO documentation
- Process and maintain proper tools and equipment
- Mentor and train other personnel as needed
- Immediately report any safety, quality, or unethical concerns to supervisors
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical school courses in mechanic or machinist classes preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Quantum preferred
