Aircraft Landing Gear Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Honda Aircraft Company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing aircraft landing gear and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop aircraft landing gear and hydraulic systems using CATIA Version 5.
- Conduct trade studies to identify optimal engineering solutions for landing gear and hydraulic systems.
- Perform component layouts for landing gear and hydraulic systems, including conventional mechanisms and complex control and monitoring systems.
- Conduct kinematic studies and system performance analysis for landing gear systems.
- Apply geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing knowledge to optimize part design for cost and functionality.
- Collaborate with the integrated product team to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Implement industry best engineering practices, including design for manufacturing, design for reliability, and design for maintainability.
- Develop and maintain certification requirements and qualification documents for landing gear and hydraulic systems.
- Optimize design solutions for cost and weight.
- Manage task execution to ensure on-time and on-target completion.
- Investigate and resolve production line build issues.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8-12 years of directly related experience.
- OR MS/MBA with 6-10 years of experience.
- Proficient in CATIA Version 5 or Version 6.
- Advanced knowledge of drafting rules and configuration management.
- Advanced knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
- Familiar with FAR Part 23 or Part 25.
- Functional knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
- Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
- Effectively communicate in Business English language.
- Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
- Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided 'reach assistance technology' or 'movement assist technology', as required by job duties.
