The role of the Financial Analyst involves a variety of responsibilities that are essential for the financial health of the organization. The analyst will work closely with the Finance Director and the Leadership Team to:
- Prepare the division's Operational Budget.
- Review presentations from various business units to ensure data consistency and alignment with corporate strategies.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to develop budgets, adjust forecasts, and analyze actual results against planned metrics.
- Generate revised Quarterly Budgets as the fiscal year progresses.
- Compile weekly forecasts in partnership with cross-functional teams, providing insights into variances from previous expectations.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for review by senior management.
- Summarize and forecast business activities and financial standings in terms of income, expenses, and earnings.
- Contribute to the annual and long-term planning processes.
- Engage in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators and scorecards.
- Conduct significant data extraction and ad-hoc reporting.
- Act as a proactive business partner, offering insights based on financial projections and historical data.
Job Scope
This position requires a solid theoretical understanding of finance, typically gained through advanced education. The role involves structured work assignments under close supervision, where problem-solving is straightforward and not overly complex. The analyst will be expected to communicate policies and practices relevant to the finance domain.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong analytical skills with a desire to uncover root causes of issues and present information effectively to management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, facilitating collaboration with various departments and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel; familiarity with SQL or similar tools is advantageous.
- Experience in building and analyzing financial models.
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and monthly closing processes.
- Ability to review account reconciliations and perform account analyses.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to objectively assess data and identify significant trends.
Financial Acumen:
Capability to evaluate financial indicators and translate data into actionable insights.
Problem Solving:
Utilization of logical methods to devise effective solutions to challenges.
Relationship Management:
Ability to cultivate constructive relationships with a diverse range of business partners.
Experience:
Some background in a large, high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
Work Environment:
Must be capable of fulfilling essential job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.

$41,100.00
