Job Summary:

Soliant Health is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district near Tampa, FL. This position offers the flexibility of either full-time or part-time employment and involves working with students from PreK through 8th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students across various grade levels, focusing on articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills.
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring to identify students in need of speech and language services and track their progress over time.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of interventions to support students' communication skills in academic and social contexts.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student progress, session notes, and relevant data in compliance with district and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to coordinate services and support students' speech and language goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for certification in the state of Florida.
  • Prior experience working in a school-based setting with students from PreK through 8th grade.
  • Strong understanding of school-based speech and language services, including the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, progress monitoring, and data collection to inform treatment planning and evaluate outcomes.
