Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager – Broker's Assistants and Brokers Assistant(s) and other assigned supervisors, perform a variety of duties related to the solicitation and placement of insurance policies for M.J. Hall's sub-producers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take direction from and assist designated Brokers Assistant and Lead Broker(s) in all aspects.
  • Study and learn about the commercial lines insurance industry with emphasis on Excess & Surplus Lines sector.
  • Complete formal industry courses for technical knowledge.
  • Gain further knowledge and networking by attending industry professional training schools.
  • Work as a full-time Clerical Assistant to gain knowledge of carrier operations.
  • As an option for greater professional development and credibility, obtain certain professional designations.

Requirements:

  • Preferred: Two or more years of college and completion of some insurance courses such as INS21, CIC, or CISR, AU, or CPCU.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Previous knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Agency Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of TIF documents.
