About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Sales Associate to join our team at Daiso USA. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and informative atmosphere for all customers.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our products, including new releases and promotions.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, addressing their queries and providing solutions to meet their needs.
  • Participate in sales promotions, ensuring customers are aware of current discounts and special offers.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including trends and ongoing promotions.
  • Efficiently organize and restock merchandise on shelves, ensuring optimal product presentation and availability.
  • Process transactions accurately, handling cash and credit card payments with ease.
  • Assist in the upkeep of the back stock room, setting up appealing merchandise displays on the sales floor.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a tidy and organized store environment.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained and accurately accounted for.
  • Undertake various administrative tasks as directed by the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Team Lead.
  • Participate in store opening and closing responsibilities, adhering to operational guidelines and procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a Retail Sales Associate role or a similar position, demonstrating a history of engaging effectively in a retail or customer-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory stocking procedures, ensuring efficient and organized store operations.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions, pricing, and inventory management.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, indicating an ability to drive sales successfully.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, crucial for building trust and rapport with customers and team members.
  • Comfortable and efficient in dynamic, high-energy settings.
  • A preference for and experience in working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A positive attitude, dependable nature, and punctuality are critical for this role.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating the store's operational needs.
  • An interest in and appreciation for Daiso's products and brand will be considered a valuable trait.
  • Physical capacity to perform tasks such as lifting objects up to 40 lbs., standing for extended periods, and pushing, pulling, and bending.
