Job Summary:

The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at the Iowa River Landing Clinic. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care services in an Ambulatory Pharmacy setting and be responsible for daily operations of the pharmacy. You will also support medication distribution, education, and collaboration with Iowa River Landing clinics and staff.

Responsibilities:

Provides Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) on clinic-administered medications and take-home prescription orders.
Documents all patient care activities performed
Coordinate patient communications and interactions
Facilitates operational initiatives which lead to enhanced patient care services
Provides educational services
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Pharm. D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is required.
One (1) year of pharmacy experience is preferred. Prior work and student rotational experience will be considered.
Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment
Desired Qualifications: Immunization certification, completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy residency program, Board Certification in Ambulatory Care or Pharmacotherapy is highly desirable, health system pharmacy experience, satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy
