Job Description:

Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care to patients at Ballad Health. This role involves practicing under the direction of pharmacy leadership and adhering to professional pharmacy standards.

The Clinical Pharmacist will interact with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, to provide information about medication therapy. They will also participate in the education and training of staff pharmacists, resident physicians, and pharmacy students.

This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuing education. The Clinical Pharmacist must be able to provide pharmaceutical care for patients of all age groups and support the Ballad Health Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council for Pharmaceutical Education
  • Documented recent experience and proficiency in clinical skills
  • Previous completion of an appropriate or related residency or fellowship is preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

The pharmacist must hold or be eligible for licensure by the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy. BLS is required, and ACLS and/or PALS may be required based on assigned job duties.

Work Requirements:

  • Weekends
  • No on-call requirements
  • Travel is not required
