Intake Coordinator

The Intake Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for managing the referral intake process and ensuring seamless communication with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with patients and referral sources to gather necessary information and authorization for services.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain necessary approvals.
- Document all interactions and information in our system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in the Patient Referral Huddle Process to review pending referrals and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers and insurance companies.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One year of intake experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the home health care field.
- Basic knowledge of the Insurance approval/authorization process.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong PC skills, with a focus on Excel proficiency.
