About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist I to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine diagnostic MRI procedures, including exams of moderate complexity and higher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and special MRI procedures, providing direct support and ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, adhering to MRI exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to promote a positive work environment and contribute to a dynamic, team-focused work unit.
  • Perform diagnostic MRI procedures, including common and special MRI exams, using magnetism, radio waves, and a computer to produce images of body structures.
  • Proactively assess and respond to patient needs, modifying technical factors to achieve desired imaging results.
  • Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members, utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills, terminology, and language.
  • Follow safety standards and conduct imaging procedures accordingly, maintaining proper sterile techniques and ensuring compliance with radiation safety and infection control procedures.
