MRI Technologist II

This MRI Technologist II position is a key member of the direct patient care team, responsible for performing a variety of routine to complex diagnostic MRI procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams and be able to work independently, exercising sound judgment and executing above-average clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic MRI procedures, including common and special MRI exams, to produce high-quality images of body structures and provide insight into tissue chemistry.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic or special MRI procedures, including sterile technique, and provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service, adhering to MRI exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies.
- Mentor and educate MRI Technologist I and students, utilizing skills and knowledge to help train and educate others.
- Participate in special projects, department initiatives, or shared governance activities, and seek opportunities to expand learning and development.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below.
- Three years' experience as a MRI Technologist.
- ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, or CMRT certification, and BLS certification.
