Program Description:
The Affective Needs program is designed to provide essential services to students facing educational challenges that hinder their ability to engage with the standard curriculum. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and collaborate with a supportive team of special education professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in collaborative planning with the special education team and other specialists to enhance educational activities and resource allocation for students.
- Maintain open communication with parents and school staff as necessary.
- Assist in therapeutic activities, which may include speech, physical therapy, and other support services.
- Supervise students in various settings, providing assistance and ensuring their safety.
- Support students with daily living skills, including feeding and personal care.
- Implement and support Individual Education Plan (IEP) objectives, facilitating both individual and group instruction.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and activities.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a Fingerprint Background Check.
- Possess an Associate's Degree or a minimum of 60 college credits.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
Additional Requirements:
Applicants must have valid US Work Authorization. Please note that sponsorship for employment visas or relocation assistance is not available at this time.
Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this position is $19-23, commensurate with experience.
