Position Overview:
The Aftermarket Design Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing Hayward Tyler's aftermarket offerings through innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the lead engineer on projects that focus on the aftermarket sector.
- Convert design requirements into effective product designs and manage the creation of manufacturing documentation.
- Offer technical guidance and analytical support to clients regarding equipment usage and upkeep.
- Examine customer orders to ensure engineering specifications are met and complete.
- Revise existing documents and schematics to align with updated design criteria.
- Assist in sales initiatives by delivering technical insights and application suggestions.
- Manage requests for engineering changes and provide support to manufacturing processes.
- Address and resolve discrepancies in material reports concerning safety-critical aftermarket components.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial rotating machinery.
- Familiarity with ASME standards and industry regulations.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design evaluation.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and driven to succeed.
