Job Summary

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children, supporting the Teachers and Director in implementing a quality educational program. This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to observe and document children's progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing curricula activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Engage with children in activities, maintain a clean and organized classroom, and ensure the availability of materials.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through progress reports and informal discussions.
  • Model self-help and good hygiene practices, and ensure a smooth transition from home to child care center.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations, and maintain a professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 12-6pm.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
  • High energy and ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and an understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear full background check and have reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
