Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing instructional and therapeutic services to students in the district schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen and evaluate students to determine eligibility for Speech-Language services and appropriate service delivery models.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and individualized education program (IEP) meetings to ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans to address students' Speech and Language needs.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' academic and social goals.
  • Assess and make recommendations for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Speech-Language Pathology.
Requirements:
  • Valid Pennsylvania certification in Special Education, Speech and Language Impaired K-12.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or Clinical Fellowship Year option in Speech Pathology preferred.
  • Experience working with school-age populations preferred.
