Join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit as a Speech Language Pathologist: Countywide, responsible for providing instructional and therapeutic services to students in district schools.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate students to determine eligibility for speech-language services and develop individualized plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with regulations and develop comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Implement individual, group, and classroom therapeutic services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Utilize best practices, curriculum materials, and teaching methods to plan lessons and provide therapy.
- Monitor student progress, prepare progress reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including support staff, to manage classroom activities.
- Stay current with certification standards, Act 48 hours, and ASHA CEUs.
- Valid PA Certification in Special Education, Speech and Language Impaired K-12.
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) of the American Speech-Language Association or Clinical Fellowship Year option in Speech Pathology.
- Experience working with school-age populations preferred.
- Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151, and NSOR clearances.
- School Personnel Health Record (Form H) completion and submission to Human Resources.
The physical demands of this role include sitting, walking, kneeling, stooping, and bending. The ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds is required.
