Job Overview:
The Culinary Supervisor is responsible for preparing all food items according to established recipes and menus, while overseeing the Dining Services Department under the guidance of the Director of Dining Services.
Key Responsibilities:- Arrive on time and ready for your shift. 100%
- Prepare all food items in accordance with planned menus and recipes, ensuring meals are appealing, nutritious, and accommodate special dietary needs. 100%
- Serve food at the appropriate temperatures and document as required. 5%
- Maintain proper plate presentation. 5%
- Consult with the Director of Dining Services regarding any menu modifications. 5%
- Keep food storage areas clean and organized at all times. 100%
- Prepare food in compliance with all health, safety, and dietary regulations, reporting any issues to the Director of Dining Services immediately. 100%
- Manage food orders upon arrival in a timely manner. 10%
- Dispose of food waste according to established protocols. 5%
- Ensure all leftovers are stored, labeled, and dated correctly. 5%
- Record temperatures of refrigeration units and dishwashers. 5%
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas. 100%
- May supervise servers and dishwashers. 100%
- Prepare for upcoming menu items, ensuring they are stocked and ready as per recipes. 30%
- Ensure safe storage and efficient use of kitchen inventory. 100%
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. 100%
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services, Sous Chef, or Executive Director. 10%

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Background clearance as mandated by regulations
- Current Food Handlers Permit
- Minimum of two years' culinary experience
- Negative TB test results
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in English
- Ability to operate necessary software and office equipment
- Professional demeanor with team members, residents, families, and visitors
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs
- Capable of moving throughout the day within the community
- Ability to stand for extended periods
