We are a leading eye care practice in the New York Metropolitan area, providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. Our team of experienced ophthalmologists and retina specialists are dedicated to delivering the highest level of patient care and service.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our ophthalmologists and retina specialists with patient care, medical documentation, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist ophthalmologists and retina specialists with patient care and medical procedures
  • Collect and organize patient data for quality reporting and other initiatives
  • Document medical visits and procedures accurately and thoroughly
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician exams
  • Perform clerical tasks as needed, including faxing, phone calls, and referral letters

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in ophthalmology or a related field; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical terminology a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
