About the Role

We are seeking a Machinist to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Taneytown, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience running castings on manual and CNC machines and be proficient in the set-up and operation of manual lathes, with exposure to CNC.



Responsibilities


  • Machinist with experience running castings on manual and CNC machines.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area at all times while maintaining all tooling and machinery for efficient and safe operation.
  • Accurately machine to within +/- .001 tolerance and familiar with prints with geometric tolerances.
  • Comfortable with all types of precision measuring equipment and working in English and Metric systems.
  • Experienced with jib and overhead cranes lifting large castings.
  • Understand and operate machines, tooling, and measuring equipment properly and safely.
  • Adhere to all Safety Procedures & Policy. Complete all Pure Safety and other safety training as required.


Requirements


  • 3-5 years machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.
  • Experience in using and interpreting precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes during the application of machining.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and CIP environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and drawings.
  • Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to stand for long periods, repetitive arm motions, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • High School Diploma or GED or relevant years of experience in lieu of education.
