Ken's Foods, a prominent manufacturer specializing in dressings and sauces, is in search of a Senior Ingredient Operations Buyer with extensive experience in the food sector to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the replenishment of materials, coordinating shipments from various suppliers while managing lead times, order sizes, storage needs, and shelf life considerations.
  • Assess and determine optimal order quantities to align with demand and financial capabilities, including available warehouse space.
  • Manage reverse logistics in collaboration with cross-functional teams to address any material-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with volume, pricing, delivery terms, and accurate freight costs.
  • Exhibit strong crisis management abilities and excellent multitasking skills when addressing production material challenges.
  • Initiate and conduct Supplier Business reviews to foster improvements and effectively manage supplier relationships.
  • Contribute to the strategic sourcing process, including documentation, regulatory compliance, sample evaluations, and financial audits, while collaborating with the Sourcing team.
  • Engage with cross-functional business partners to enhance value throughout the Supply Chain.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

A four-year degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Experience in purchasing within the food industry is essential.

A minimum of 8 years in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or Inventory Management is required.

At least 8 years of experience in Direct Buying, Supplier Management, or Project Management is necessary.

8+ years of experience in Cross-functional Team Management is also required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a must.

Experience with Syspro or other ERP systems is advantageous.

Must be able to work on-site as this position is not remote.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, background screening, and pre-employment assessment.
