Position Summary:

As a Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a crucial role within the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Team. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the procurement of components, qualifying vendors, scheduling production, and maintaining effective communication with key suppliers and manufacturing partners. This position requires a strategic approach, keen attention to detail, outstanding communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing supply chains to support manufacturing and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management:

· Oversee the procurement process for qualified components and materials essential for ongoing production.

· Formulate and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely acquisition of high-quality components while optimizing costs and minimizing supply chain risks.

· Actively seek alternative sourcing options and develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.

2. Supplier Relations:

· Direct the selection and evaluation of vendors to establish and maintain effective partnerships, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and budgetary constraints.

· Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to facilitate the supplier qualification process.

· Foster strong communication channels and relationships with key suppliers to promote collaboration and timely issue resolution.

3. Inventory Management:

· Analyze historical demand data and forecast accuracy to determine optimal inventory levels and safety stock for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.

· Implement inventory control practices, such as ABC analysis and cycle counting, to enhance inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.

4. Financial Oversight:

· Develop annual supply chain budgets aligned with business goals, incorporating insights from cross-functional teams and financial projections.

· Monitor actual expenditures against budgeted figures, analyzing discrepancies and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

5. Risk Assessment:

· Identify and evaluate potential supply chain risks, including geopolitical factors, natural disasters, supplier financial health, and regulatory compliance.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create business continuity plans and crisis management strategies, ensuring preparedness for supply chain disruptions.

6. Production Coordination:

· Work closely with Manufacturing, Sales Operations, and Commercial Teams to develop accurate production schedules based on demand forecasts and capacity limitations.

· Coordinate with material planners to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components, minimizing production delays and inventory costs.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

· A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, procurement, or operations management within manufacturing or related sectors.

· Proven success in managing complex supply chains, achieving cost reductions, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Skills and Competencies:

· Expertise in supply chain management principles, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve supply chain performance.

· Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and driving initiatives to successful completion.

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving.

· Willingness to travel occasionally as required for supplier visits or industry events.

Additional Qualifications:

· Experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in medical devices, consumer goods, or electronics, is highly advantageous.

· Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs compliance, and import/export processes is beneficial.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other process improvement frameworks is a plus.
