Job Summary

This role supports the development of business capabilities that power insurance products, including modularization, insurance product configuration, and alternative health plans.

The successful candidate will help identify capabilities necessary to deliver a high-quality customer experience, from shopping to navigating insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with customers, stakeholders, vendors, designers, and IT delivery partners to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions.
  • Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, business requirements, customer personas, stakeholder and/or journey maps, product capability roadmaps, product KPIs/metrics, and implementation/delivery plans.
  • Participate in the full product management delivery life cycle, leveraging advanced knowledge of modern product management delivery practices and methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Lead various aspects of business analysis, business requirements definition and documentation, business user testing, business requirement traceability, and full product capability delivery.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management, including assisting with or leading business and product requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in a Business Analysis and/or Analyst role.
  • Preferred: 3 years in Lean/Six Sigma and/or Process Improvement, 3 years in the Health Insurance Industry, and 3 years in the Healthcare Industry.
  • Licenses or Certifications: None required, but Lean/Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), Business Analysis Professional (IIBA), and Human Centered Design (HCD)/Design Thinking are preferred.
Skills
  • Analytical Skills: Problem-solving, ability to identify stakeholder problems.
  • Communication Skills: Prior experience collaborating with and influencing senior executives, decision makers.
  • Report Writing: Ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
  • Advanced knowledge of and some prior experience in applying Agile Methodology and Agile Project Management.
  • Product Management: Critical Thinking and Strategic Thinking, ability to perform big-picture thinking while understanding nuances and details of a situation.
