Job Title: ECS Solutions Engineer UK

We are seeking a highly skilled ECS Solution Support Engineer to support cloud data migration efforts, particularly with Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS) and Centera technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute ECS data migration processes during cutover phases, handling network traffic moves from existing endpoints to new ECS resources.
  • Create new Centera clip lists and manage CAS (Content Addressed Storage) data formats.
  • Migrate deltas between previously validated data and new writes.
  • Provide support for application cutovers during off-hours, ensuring successful cutovers with minimal disruption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all migration steps are performed correctly and on time.
  • Available for three planned cutovers each lasting between 8 to 10 hours, occurring between 10 PM and 6 AM UK Time.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS) expertise, including Object Scale/Elastic Cloud Storage Services.
  • Experience with Centera and familiarity with CAS data formats, including knowledge of CAS clips and clip lists.
  • Proficiency in ECS Sync migration tools and ECS Native Transformation.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud data migrations and support in real-time cutover scenarios.
  • Ability to work independently during critical phases without support.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with ECS Sync and ECS Native Transformation tools.
  • Exposure to ECS Sync migration and native transformation approaches.
Requirements:
  • Availability for scheduled cutovers (Friday or Saturday evenings).
  • Willingness to work during off-hours (10 PM - 6 AM UK Time).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to handle challenges independently.
