Job Overview:
The Aviation Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft systems and components. This includes, but is not limited to, systems such as flight controls, engines, hydraulics, fuel systems, and mechanical parts. The specialist will utilize their technical expertise in airframe and power plant systems to identify equipment failures and ensure airworthiness. They will restore aircraft to a safe operational state by interpreting technical documentation, including manufacturer manuals, Airworthiness Directives, and Technical Bulletins.
  • Conducts daily maintenance on aircraft at various locations.
  • Plans, organizes, and executes scheduled maintenance and inspections efficiently.
  • Maintains accurate aircraft records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors aircraft inspection schedules and component due dates using a computerized system.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of specialized tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition and calibrated as necessary.
  • Assists in the transportation of essential equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Stays informed about advancements and trends in the aviation industry.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of a current Federal Aviation Airframe & Power Plant license.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Proficient knowledge of both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft along with their turbine engines.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Certification on multiple aircraft types with factory training on Fixed-wing (B200 King Air) and Helicopter (Augusta A109).
  • Experience in structural sheet metal work.
  • Advanced training or experience in troubleshooting.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and comprehend spoken information.
  • Capable of lifting and moving aviation parts and equipment.
  • Expected to perform a full range of motion to handle parts, tools, and equipment, including lifting heavy items.
  • May require prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs and maneuver in confined spaces within aircraft.
  • Must be able to operate maintenance tools and equipment, requiring dexterity in hands and fingers.
  • Ability to read and interpret various documents and monitors.
  • Must be able to transport oneself between locations.
  • Ability to work in various positions, including kneeling and bending.
