Job Description

Festival Foods is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with Guests: Build strong relationships with customers, respond to their needs, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Efficient Transactions: Process sales, handle monetary transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Bagging with Care: Safely and efficiently bag items for customers, ensuring products are handled with care.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date on promotions, advertisements, and store policies to effectively assist customers.
  • Maintain Order: Keep the register area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Communication: Relay customer requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Standards: Meet quality and quantity standards, especially during peak times.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and support the store's overall success.
Requirements:
  • Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns.
  • Retail Experience: Process information, merchandise transactions, and handle cash and media at registers.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Accuracy: Maintain accurate records, count change, and process transactions efficiently.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate all necessary equipment to perform the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
  • Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Work Schedule:

The Cashier position is flexible, offering both part-time and full-time opportunities. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability.
