We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Staff Pharmacist. This is a full-time position working overnight shifts, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Prescription Management: Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting facility staff and residents with medical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling.
- Team Leadership: Supervise the work completed by Pharmacy Technicians and support staff while on duty, and assist the Pharmacist in Charge to train, coach, and manage Pharmacy associates.
- Department Management: Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department, comply with all federal and state laws and regulations, and handle and resolve facility/resident issues, complaints, and questions.
- Communication: Interact with physicians/nurses and review PCC (Point Click Care) to gain information on/about residents and orders, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Facility Operations: Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and following infection control guidelines, and prioritize Pharmacy Department tasks and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Education and Licensure: Licensed and Registered Pharmacist.
- Experience: Long Term Care experience a plus.
- Software Knowledge: Knowledge of FrameworkLTC software system also a plus.
