Mammography Imaging Specialist

Seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the Mammography Department at Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing and assisting in mammography procedures to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients. This is a specialized clinical role that requires independence and adherence to established procedures and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform and assist in mammography procedures to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients
• Work independently under general supervision and adhere to established procedures and protocols
• Collaborate with the Manager of Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography Coordinator, and Physician Director of Mammography to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participate in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records and reports of patient procedures and outcomes
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with a minimum of 2 years' experience as an RT(R)
• ARRT certification in Mammography and a valid Maine License in Radiologic Technology
• BLS certification and ability to perform routine imaging studies independently
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and peers
