Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Ballantyne Medical Associates P. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and document patient information, including chief complaint, history of present illness, and review of systems
  • Review patient charts for needs assessment and provide recommendations for care
  • Deliver routine in-office diagnostic tests and provide care as directed by the physician
  • Document patient information in electronic medical records
  • Authorize medication refills and perform electrocardiograms
  • Educate patients on medication, diet, and treatment instructions
  • Update immunization records and maintain accurate patient information
  • Return patient calls and triage patients as needed
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office with direct patient contact and electronic medical records
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of health promotion
  • Excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Compensation:

$18-$22 hourly
