About the Role

At Hy-Vee Food Stores, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Catering Clerk, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, treating customers as our most important asset.
  • Assist the Catering Manager in coordinating product delivery and event execution.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive work environment and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Handle food safely, adhering to proper temperature logs and rotation procedures.
  • Address customer issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Understand and practice proper sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school education preferred, but not required.
  • Server experience is a plus.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and follow detailed instructions.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
  • Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Working Conditions

This role is continually exposed to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, and equipment movement hazards. There is a significant work pace/urgency to deliver orders in a timely manner, with daily exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents.

Equipment Used

This role utilizes a variety of equipment, including delivery vehicles, cash registers, standard catering equipment, and more.
