Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and driving sales growth through effective merchandising and visual displays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to drive sales growth and customer loyalty
  • Effectively merchandise and visually display products, creating an engaging and inviting shopping experience for customers
  • Operate cash register and execute cash handling to standards, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a consistent and appealing store image
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to company policies and procedures to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment
  • Interact with colleagues in a positive and respectful manner, promoting a collaborative and inclusive team culture
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills
  • Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter
  • Previous retail experience and sales skills, with a focus on customer service and relationship-building
Work Environment

Our retail store setting is climate-controlled, with some stock rooms and outdoor areas that may not be climate-controlled. You will be required to move throughout the store, stand for long periods, and lift heavy boxes and frames. If you need help performing these functions, please contact your supervisor to discuss reasonable accommodations.
