The Parking Operations team at Georgia State University is looking for a Parking Compliance Officer to enhance our department. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to parking regulations and policies. The officer will support various parking-related functions within the university.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Parking Compliance Officer will undertake various responsibilities to guarantee an excellent customer experience. This position collaborates closely with colleagues to maintain cleanliness and safety standards consistently. In addition to other assigned duties, the officer may receive cross-training for additional roles to provide support during peak periods.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Work with administrative personnel to ensure that parking policies and procedures align with expectations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate databases and generate weekly reports.
  • Assist in reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with established policies.
  • Compile and verify reports on a weekly and monthly basis within set deadlines.
  • Oversee accounts payable for all transactions.
  • Manage invoicing for third-party vendors and ensure timely payments.
  • Approve and reconcile financial records for inter-office transactions related to special events and purchases.
  • Support contractor and bulk parking permit sales, along with other significant projects.
  • Assist with vehicle towing and booting in university parking areas.
  • Provide support to public safety officers and security personnel as necessary.
  • Engage in citation collection efforts as directed by management.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree with three years of administrative experience; or a high school diploma or GED with five years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of relevant experience, preferably in parking operations.
  • Understanding of laws, rules, regulations, and policies related to parking.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
