Position Summary:

The Youth Aquatic Fitness Coach is tasked with leading youth fitness sessions at Gold's Gym Idaho. This role emphasizes creativity in class delivery, ensuring that young participants enjoy engaging and dynamic workouts. The position may involve physical demands, including the ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a passion for fitness among youth.
  • Maintain knowledge of the gym's history, philosophy, facilities, staff, and policies.
  • Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures related to gym operations.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the gym and its staff.
  • Instruct youth fitness programs effectively.
  • Participate in all mandatory meetings.
  • Build rapport with club members and maintain visibility.
  • Assist in organizing special youth fitness events for the club and community as needed.
  • Promote youth fitness initiatives.
  • Keep certifications current as required.
  • Ensure the safety of children at all times.
Qualifications/Skills/Certifications
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of instructional methodologies.
  • Valid certifications (Swimming, etc.).
  • Knowledge of safe exercise practices and youth fitness principles.
  • Skills in rhythm and movement.
Supervision Duties
  • Oversee youth fitness participants during sessions.
  • Monitor participants to ensure safety and correct exercise techniques.
  • Maintain a minimum average of 10 participants per class monthly.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and condition of equipment.
