The Customer Service Associate (CSA) plays a pivotal role in facilitating the daily operations at Banneker Supply Chain Solutions Inc. This position is essential for managing orders directed to the warehouse and overseeing the majority of interactions between the warehouse, various departments, and end-customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe CSA is tasked with:
- Handling a high volume of phone calls and emails, addressing a diverse range of inquiries including order updates and shipment notifications.
- Collaborating with the Supply Chain Department to provide accurate status updates on products and services ordered.
- Processing all order releases, ensuring timely updates and customer notifications.
- Coordinating with operations to guarantee the effective execution of services.
- Maintaining strong customer relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Acting as a liaison between customers and internal departments regarding account management and invoicing.
- Entering shipment receipts and customer orders into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Facilitating scheduled and unscheduled deliveries through the Shipping & Receiving Department.
- Tracking shipments and assisting customers with order troubleshooting.
- Ensuring accurate invoicing through thorough verification of customer activity reports.
- Supporting management in developing processes to meet diverse customer service needs.
- Participating in IT integration projects to enhance automated order fulfillment.
- Providing training and guidance to colleagues as necessary.
- Engaging in customer facility visits and maintaining accurate records related to customer service activities.
The CSA is responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment in accordance with established standards.
- Complying with health and safety regulations and participating in the company's EHS program.
- Contributing to the adherence of Quality Management System certifications and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.
Other responsibilities may include assisting with special projects and performing additional job-related tasks as assigned.
