Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage a functional group of mechanical design engineers, providing performance management, merit planning, job assignment management, career development, and new employee onboarding.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to the team, ensuring the successful execution of complex technical projects.
- Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with project team leads to support project planning and execution activities, labor and material cost estimation, staffing, design process execution, and quality assurance.
- Resource Management: Maintain awareness of each group member's project responsibilities and performance, providing guidance and resources to overcome obstacles and meet project objectives.
- Process Improvement: Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable design processes, guidelines, policies, and best practices, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant STEM discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in an engineering and/or technical leadership role, with a proven track record of success in leading, collaborating, and building teams on complex technical projects.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance.
- Skills: Strong technical leadership and management skills, with experience in design and development of ruggedized electronic hardware, particularly antennas, microelectronic packages, and circuit card assemblies.
- Functional Management Experience: Demonstrated success in a functional management, project management, or similar technical leadership role.
- Design and Development Experience: Experience with the design and development of AESA and Dual Band Radar hardware, including hardware design, systems engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test, and quality assurance.
- Technical Tools: Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter, NX, Xpedition, and Autocad design tools.
- Competitive Salary: Salary range: $131,800 - $197,600.
