Job Description:
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction: Successfully teach subject material to assigned class, following through on the plans of a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Classroom Environment: Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of all the students.
- Preparation and Planning: Prepare for classes assigned, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
- Student Assessment and Progress: Assess the accomplishments of all students on a regular basis and provide reports as required, as well as notifying parents of student progress when necessary.
- Classroom Management: Encourage all students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior, and take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work cooperatively with all staff and parents, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: 1 year of teaching experience and 1 year of classroom management experience required.
- Certifications and Clearances: Favorable State and Federal Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Registry Check / Child Abuse Clearance, 2-Step TB Test, and COVID Vaccination Card (if available).
