Waste Management Specialist

Recology is seeking a skilled Commercial Truck Driver to join our team. As a Commercial Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of assigned vehicles, ensuring the consistent application of safety and operational procedures, and maintaining good customer relations throughout all applicable service areas.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily routine safety checks and pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicles.
Ensure all safety measures appropriate for operation of assigned vehicles are consistently and efficiently applied.
Operate vehicles in all assigned service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
Load all assigned materials according to normal operating procedures and report any violations to supervisors.
Ensure hazardous materials are not accepted, as able.
Assure materials being transported comply within the legal load limits.
Report all accidents and/or safety violations to the appropriate authority and in a timely manner.
Requirements
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
One year of commercial driving experience (two years preferred).
Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations, including applicable waste regulations.
Basic computer programs.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Current commercial driver's license and a current valid medical card.
