Position Overview

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of various components related to continuous casting machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble and reassemble a variety of mechanical components.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily tasks and activities.
  • Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude in daily operations.
  • Perform cleaning, grinding, painting, and related maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment, components, and subassemblies.
  • Conduct cleanup activities, including the removal of waste materials such as coolant, oil, scrap, and chips.
  • Demonstrate courtesy and effective collaboration with team members.
  • Complete Maintenance Request Forms for items requiring attention in the work area.
  • Uphold a safe and organized work environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Act as a safety-conscious employee, remaining drug-free and reliable.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or actions to management promptly.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong mechanical skills and a solid understanding of mechanical tools.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Self-motivation to identify, analyze, and independently resolve operational challenges.
  • Resourcefulness in achieving objectives and completing assigned tasks.
