We are in search of a Part-Time Retail Associate who will serve as a cashier and embody the welcoming spirit of the shop. This role requires enthusiasm, extensive product knowledge, and a strong focus on customer interaction. The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing the need for efficiency in line management with a commitment to providing excellent service, regardless of the task at hand. Whether assisting a customer in selecting gifts or performing minor maintenance tasks, this individual will approach every responsibility with a positive attitude. A keen visual memory and a desire to learn about the shop's offerings are essential traits.
Proficiency and speed in operating a POS system are vital. While a flexible schedule is preferred, availability on Saturdays is mandatory. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, although it is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage customers with enthusiasm and comprehensive product knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with customers and management.
- Utilize a POS retail system with speed, efficiency, and courtesy.
- Maintain inventory and restock displays as needed.
- Work independently while contributing to team goals.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Two or more years of sales experience, preferably in a busy retail environment.
- Experience in cash handling and operating a register.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills with a diverse customer base.
- Availability on Saturdays and some Sundays during peak seasons.
- Demonstrated reliability and flexibility in scheduling.
- High energy and a proactive approach to customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.
- Experience in visual merchandising is desirable.

Physical Duties:
- Standing for the majority of the shift.
