Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring the effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment. This role requires collaboration with other departments to ensure the availability of sterile supplies and equipment for surgical cases and other procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively clean, inspect, and maintain medical instruments and equipment
  • Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure availability of sterile supplies and equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with sterile processing standards and best practices
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a sterile processing course or 1 year of healthcare experience
  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 18 months of hire
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 18 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of sterile processing experience
