About the Role

The Sterile Processing Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring the effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the availability of sterile supplies and equipment for surgical cases and other procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and inspect medical instruments and equipment
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for use
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the availability of sterile supplies and equipment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
  • 3 years recent sterile processing experience
  • Experience using personal computer and basic software applications
