Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner

The Palliative Care Service at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide direct and indirect patient care to palliative care outpatients and inpatient consultations in critical care and general med/surg units.

A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse are required, along with a current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) and a current certification issued by the State Education Department to prescribe medication.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus one to two years of hospice palliative care experience, as well as ACHPN certification (or eligible in 1 year) and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence in pain and non-pain symptom management and have strong communication skills.
