Position Overview:

The role of the Evening Custodial Specialist involves performing essential janitorial duties at designated client facilities during nighttime hours.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and fill all cleaning spray bottles with the necessary germicide for effective cleaning and sterilization.
  • Maintain cleanliness by stocking supplies, removing trash, and replacing liners in waste receptacles throughout the shift.
  • Conduct floor maintenance, including mopping and vacuuming as required.
  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of all surfaces, including walls, desks, counters, equipment, and floors, along with any additional areas as requested.
  • Shampoo carpets and clean windows as necessary.
  • Execute any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Accountability:

  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Handle emergency cleaning situations that may arise during the shift.
  • Work independently at the client site while identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Report any maintenance needs or discrepancies in the facility's condition to the supervisor.
  • Become knowledgeable about cleaning chemicals and their safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: This is an entry-level position; a GED is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, climb, and use hands for various tasks.

  • Depth perception and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
