Job Title: Animal Science Technician
Location: Research Vivarium
Pay Rate: $22.25/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 40 hours/week
Job Type: Temporary (6 months, potential for extension)
Kelly Services is excited to connect you with a rewarding opportunity as an Animal Science Technician at a premier research vivarium. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the well-being and care of animals used in research and development studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, feeding, and observation of research animals.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of animal cages, facility, and equipment.
- Assist laboratory technicians by handling and restraining animals for treatments.
- Maintain accurate records of animal inventory and identification.
- Ensure bio-safety and bio-security protocols are followed to protect the animals.
- Collaborate with pre-clinical investigators and veterinarians to assist with surgeries, dosing, post-op care, and monitoring of animal studies.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks.
- Experience in animal husbandry, particularly in a research or laboratory setting, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining clean and safe working conditions.
