Position: Laboratory Technician

Company: Planet Pharma

Contract Duration: 6-month assignment

Required Education: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience in HPLC

Preferred Experience: Familiarity with pharmaceutical or biotechnology quality control testing

Shift Availability: Based on candidate qualifications

  • 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2 PM - 10 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 2 PM - 10 PM

Compensation Structure:

  • Lab Tech I: $19/hr based on experience
  • Lab Tech II: $22/hr based on experience
  • Lab Tech III: $27/hr based on experience

Essential Skills:

a. Proficiency in HPLC instrumentation within a laboratory environment

b. Experience with data acquisition software (e.g., Chromeleon, ChemStation, Empower)

c. Educational background in chemistry or biochemistry (Bachelor's or Associate's degree)

d. Strong attention to detail

e. Excellent organizational skills

Key Requirements:

1. Experience in a GMP laboratory setting

2. Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques

3. Knowledge of HPLC and GC testing and data analysis

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating teamwork while also being capable of independent work; potential for overtime may be available
  • Conduct routine analytical testing to support quality control for pharmaceutical products
  • Engage in data interpretation as necessary
  • Coordinate sample testing and manage data entry into relevant computer applications
  • Exhibit strong laboratory skills, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors
  • Experience operating analytical instruments is preferred (e.g., analytical balance, total carbon analyzer, spectrophotometer, pH meter)
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities
  • Possess strong computer skills along with good communication capabilities
