Job Summary:

Textron Aviation is seeking a skilled Avionic Technician to join our team at our Service Center. As an Avionic Technician, you will be responsible for performing functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics systems on board aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional testing to isolate customer complaints and repair avionics systems in accordance with FAA procedures.
  • Diagnose problems and take corrective action based on in-flight analysis and customer information.
  • Troubleshoot problems to defective units or wiring discrepancies.
  • Replace defective units, repair wiring, and modify aircraft as required.
  • Accompany pilots in flight to functional test repaired systems and/or aligned systems.
  • Work from aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, oral and written instructions to perform job duties.

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent required; college or technical school and/or military electronic schools preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair.
  • Airframe and Power Plant Certification preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
