The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day processing of invoices and ensuring accounts are in good standing. This role requires strong communication and analytical skills to manage vendor relationships and provide reports to internal customers and leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage staff to ensure timely, accurate, and complete processing of invoices
- Supervise, train, and evaluate Accounts Payable staff
- Manage vendor relationships, resolve disputes, and ensure timely payments
- Act as a liaison with departments and vendors to answer questions and resolve problems
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving complex Accounts Payable and Expenditure problems
- Prepare audit schedules and analyze Accounts Payable data
- Review payment request documentation for adherence to policies and escalate exception items
- Manage the creation of new suppliers and supplier data changes
- Respond to and resolve inquiries from internal and external parties
- Prepare and maintain procedural documentation and resources for departmental staff and outside suppliers
- Review and recommend Accounts Payable process automation and tool utilization to improve efficiencies
- Train internal customers on Accounts Payable and Expenditure Control
- High school diploma with eight years of Accounts Payable experience or Bachelor's degree with five years
- Five years of supervisory or management experience in Accounts Payable or Procurement departments
- Five years of experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables
- Three years of Accounts Payable experience in a healthcare setting
