Position Overview:
The Litigation Support Specialist will operate under general supervision, performing a variety of administrative tasks for attorneys and paralegals within the Litigation Department. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafts and transcribes legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and memoranda.
  • Manages the opening and maintenance of case files, including conducting conflict checks and archiving.
  • Establishes and oversees calendar systems for case deadlines and meetings.
  • Handles attorney billing, including e-billing and proforma invoices.
  • Coordinates attorney schedules and manages incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintains confidentiality and positive communication with clients and staff.
  • Performs administrative screening of phone calls and emails.
  • Collaborates with support staff and assists with additional responsibilities as needed.
  • This is a full-time position, requiring occasional overtime.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in litigation support, particularly in insurance defense.
  • Familiarity with e-billing processes, including LEDES billing and Aderant.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and typing in English for essential job functions.
