Commercial Flooring Project Manager

Masters Petersens Flooring & Design is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Flooring Field Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of commercial flooring projects. This role involves leading project teams, ensuring quality workmanship, managing budgets, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning
- Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Select appropriate flooring materials and solutions based on project specifications and client needs.
- Team Management
- Build and lead project teams, including flooring installers, subcontractors, and support staff.
- Provide guidance, training, and supervision to ensure the team's productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Quality Control
- Monitor and inspect work in progress to ensure high-quality installation and adherence to industry standards.
- Address any issues or defects promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Budget Management
- Manage project labor budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Client Relations
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project.
- Communicate project progress, timelines, and any changes effectively.
- Problem Solving
- Identify and resolve project-related challenges, such as material shortages, schedule delays, or unforeseen issues on-site.
- Safety and Risk Management
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Mitigate project risks and take proactive measures to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant industry regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training in flooring installation or construction management is preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial flooring installation, field management, and/or project management.
- Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
